PROJECT
Development of EMS in Lithuanian Companies
The purpose of the project is to improve the standards of environmental
conservation in three Lithuanian construction sector companies by
making use of Finnish expertise in the field. This is to be achieved
by helping the companies to develop an environmental management
system that corresponds to the ISO 14000 standard. The project also
aims to promote knowledge of environmental management systems (EMS)
among Lithuanian companies, public organizations, environmental
authorities, media and other relevant stakeholders. This objective
will be supported by organizing an EMS conference and by preparing
and distributing EMS promotion and training material for the relevant
stakeholders in Lithuania.
